Real Strawberry Milk
Remember the lure of strawberry milk? Today we’ve made a real food version, without the load of sugar and fake pink colouring you see in most flavoured milk. That’s right, using real strawberries (but frozen works too).
What Makes This Recipe Great:
- No Sugar Rush: We’ve banished excess sugar to give you all the fun without the sugar crash. Plus, it helps kids get comfortable with the taste of real food, which is super important for nudging them toward healthier choices.
- Quick and Breezy: This recipe is a breeze, especially if you’ve got little kitchen helpers. You can’t mess it up, and it’s ready in under ten minutes. Plus, you can sip on it right away!
- Kid-Friendly Fun: Kids aged 4 and up can totally rock every step of this recipe, except the blender part. It’s all about pitting, topping, and pouring – easy peasy!
Tips For Making Strawberry Milk
- Little Hands at Work: Let the kids (over 4) handle every step except the blender action. They can even practice their strawberry green-top plucking skills – it’s all part of the fun.
- Ingredient Watch: This recipe works with any milk. If you are using plant-based milk, watch out for seed oils in the ingredients. If you are using oat milk, OMG is the one I recommend!
- Measuring Smarts: Use a measuring jug for the milk instead of regular cups; it’s like spill-proof insurance with extra wiggle room at the top.
